I have been working in the skilled trades for 20 years, beginning as a teenager working with my father. I began working as a helper. That quickly changed when the 2008 housing crashed forced us into working long hours and with fewer people to help out. My brother and I worked as a team making service calls to tenant occupied homes around Clayton county. We fixed blocked sewer lines. Replaced water heaters, cut the grass between leases and spent many late nights pulling a trailer home to Mcdonough. One lesson that I have learned is that a customer is not someone that pays you, rather, it is someone that rewards you for your service, with gratitude.
